Deciding between Laufey's two vinyl releases? Compare Everything I Know About Love and Bewitched: The Goddess Edition to pick the right LP for your shelf or a gift.
Quick answer
Choose Everything I Know About Love if you want the album with the viral hit “Valentine” at the lower price. Pick Bewitched: The Goddess Edition if you prefer a special edition pressing and don’t mind paying more for the extras.
Why the two Laufey LPs appeal to different listeners
Everything I Know About Love captures the excitement of young love with a blend of modern songwriting and classic jazz. This second pressing includes “Valentine,” the track that introduced many fans to Laufey. If you’re shopping for a first Laufey record or a jazz-pop vinyl gift, it’s the straightforward choice.
Bewitched: The Goddess Edition leans into a more ethereal, dreamy sound, pairing jazz and pop on an exclusive vinyl pressing. It’s aimed at listeners who already love Laufey’s atmospheric side and want a special edition rather than the standard album.
Price and pressing: what you’re paying for
The catalog prices differ noticeably: Everything I Know About Love is listed at USD 16.63 (compared with a USD 25.98 reference), while Bewitched: The Goddess Edition is USD 24.84 (compared with USD 34.99). The Goddess Edition costs more because it’s a special edition pressing, not because it contains more music—track listings aren’t supplied here, so check the sleeve for exact contents before buying.
Both are vinyl records in the same category, but only Bewitched is described as an exclusive pressing. If collectible packaging matters to you, that difference justifies the higher price; if you just want the songs, the standard edition saves money.
Decision rules: which Laufey vinyl to buy
- If you want the viral hit and the lowest price: Buy Everything I Know About Love. It includes “Valentine” and costs USD 16.63, making it the budget-friendly entry point. Check the sleeve for the second-pressing label to confirm you’re getting the version with “Valentine.”
- If you prefer a special edition for your collection: Choose Bewitched: The Goddess Edition. The exclusive vinyl pressing and dreamy jazz-pop sound justify the USD 24.84 price for collectors. Confirm the edition name on the cover before ordering, since standard and Goddess editions may look similar online.
- If you’re buying as a gift for a new Laufey fan: Pick Everything I Know About Love. The familiar hit and lower price make it an easy, low-risk gift for someone just discovering her music. Pair it with a simple record sleeve or cleaning cloth to make the gift more practical.
- If you’re buying for a longtime fan who owns the standard albums: Go with Bewitched: The Goddess Edition. The exclusive pressing offers something different from a standard copy already on their shelf. Ask whether they already own the standard Bewitched before duplicating it.
